Join us at BandWidth 2017 on April 30th! See bottom of page for details.
Welcome to the Internet home of the Northeast Community Band!
We gather Thursday nights during the school year, adults and kids, to play marches, show tunes and anything else we can scrounge up. We practice from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the band room at Edison High School in Northeast Minneapolis and play about four concerts from September through May.
Most members have their own instruments, but not all. Some played or play now in school. Others have taken up instruments recently as adults. There are no auditions, although we expect folks to read music passably and keep time.
Dues are $60 annually for adults and you can pay as you go, within reason. We offer a three-rehearsal “trial period” at no cost. Junior high and high school students are free. We’ve had some boffo garage sales, and as a 501(c)3, we also take charitable donations.
Remember to like our page on Facebook.
We also have community gigs that present themselves throughout the season. If you would like some music entertainment for a community event you are planning, feel free to contact us. We love to play out in the community.
We always welcome new members!!
